Aviators open season with 54-0 shutout victory over G'ville
It was two different kinds of occasions for different teams on Friday. For the Aviators, it was a time to break in fresh turf at the newly renovated Memorial Field at Butler High School, bid farewell to long-time Athletic Director Roger Bowen, and open the season with a bang.

Unfortunately for the Green Wave, they happened to be on the receiving end of that bang. Beset by a relentless offense and stymied by a hermetically sealed defense, Greenville suffered a 54-0 shutout defeat to Butler.
