Library to host book launch party
Cincinnati children's author and illustrator Will Hillenbrand is coming to the Centerville Library on August 11 from 2-3 p.m. to introduce his new book Don't Slam the Door!, written by Dori Chaconas. Hillenbrand will give a presentation to children and adults explaining his process of creating children's books and then sign copies of his books.

Books & Co. will be present to sell copies of Hillenbrand's books, and refreshments will be provided by Panera Bread. Both companies are year-long sponsors of the Library's Great Books, Great Libraries author visits. Registration is not required and all ages are welcome, however seating may be limited.

A life-long resident of Cincinnati, Hillenbrand confesses he was surrounded by stories from an early age and started drawing to capture all the stories that he heard. He is the illustrator of many popular children's books, like Please Play Safe, and Biggest, Best Snowman, by Margery Cuyler, The Moon Might Be Milk, by Lisa Shulman, and the juvenile fiction series - Andy Russell, by David Adler. Hillenbrand also authored several children's picture books including Whopper Cake, Louie!, and Smash! Mash! Crash! There Goes the Trash. All of these titles are owned by the library and are available for checkout.
