Kettering Police Reports

The following reports were received from the Kettering Police Department. Those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:

Saturday, Jan. 19

At 5 p.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of Ridgemore Dr. on a warrant service. Upon their arrival they made contact with the resident and confirmed that she had an active warrant through the Kettering Court. Christina M. Long, 28, was placed under arrest and transported to the Kettering Jail where she was served.

At 7:30 p.m., an officer responded to the lot of the Fricker’s Restaurant at 1818 Woodman Dr. to meet with a Dayton PD officer ref. a subject they had arrested on a Kettering warrant. Mindy Sue Walters, 48, was taken into custody, transported to the Kettering Jail and served.

At 7;30 p.m., an officer was sent to Meijer on a report of a theft. Investigation revealed that Bradley A. Cochran, 19, had stolen $68 worth of stereo equipment. He was arrested and transported to KPD Jail without incident

At 8:25 p.m., an officer was sent to the Speedway on Dorothy at Shroyer in reference to a theft. The suspect had left the scene last seen northbound on Shroyer. The officer was checking the area when he located the suspect at Shroyer and Peach Orchard. The suspect still had the stolem property in his possession and was identified by a witness. Christopher A. Whitlow, 42, was arrested for theft and transported to KPD Jail.

At 8:50 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Miami County Jail to pickup a prisoner. Upon his arrival he took Nicole L. McCullough, 35, into custody and transported her to the Kettering Jail where she was served.

Sunday, Jan. 20

At 2:39 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on Woodman at Gate 4 for driving in a weaving pattern. The driver was found to have been drinking and after failing field sobriety tests, Jeffery S. Verrillo, 32, was arrested for OVI and transported to KPD Jail where he refused the Datamaster.

At 6:59 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle make an illegal turn from Montgomery Sq. to westbound Whipp Rd. A traffic stop was initiated and it was found that there were three subjects in the vehicle. All parties were checked through LEADS and one of the passengers had a warrant through Kettering. Justin J. McCullough, 19, was arrested and transported to the Kettering Jail where he was served.

At 7:30 p.m., crews were sent to Twilight Hill on a report of a family trouble. The female caller stated that her husband pointed a gun at her and she ran out of the house and to a neighbor’s to place the call. Crews responded to scene and set up a perimeter. Contact was made with the complainant who advised that her husband did not point the gun at her or threaten her, but just had it out in his hand during their argument. She also advised he had several long guns and pistols in the residence. Phone contact was made with the husband who was reluctant to come out at first but with an officer’s persuasion complied and exited the house where he was met by officers. After speaking with the wife in detail, it was determined no crime was committed. The husband, David Buehler, offered up the weapons in good faith for KPD to hold for safe keeping. Officers took over 12 pistols/assault rifles and shotguns out of the house including ones allegedly found in the bathroom, under couch cushions and hidden inside books with the pages cut out.

At 10 p.m., an officer met with Centerville PD on a warrant service. Jeffery Clark, 36, was taken into custody on our warrant and transported to KPD Jail without incident.

At 9:40 p.m., an officer was sent to the area of Brownleigh and Sutton on a report of a subject passed out in the yard. Checking the area, he found William Franz, 45, passed out in the back yard of 1645 Brownleigh. Franz was awakened and arrested for disorderly conduct (PI).

Monday, Jan. 21

At 2:15 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of 1912 E. Whipp (Bada Bings), when he observed Jay W. Martin, 26, enter the business, knowing that he had been trespassed. Martin was contacted, arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail without incident.

At 8:15 p.m., an officer made a traffic stop at Dorothy and Far Hills. He found that the driver was Neil D. Farley, 34, who was driving under an FRA suspension. He was arrested and brought to KPD Jail without incident.

At 9:14 p.m., an officer found a suspicious vehicle in the lot of That Big Drive Thru, 1350 E. Stroop. The underage occupants were found to be in possession of a 12 pack of beer that they purchased from another location. A 17-year-old white male was charged with Underage Possession and released.

Wednesday, Jan. 23

At 11 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Shroyer and Frieda after he reported observing the driver weaving and changing lanes without caution. The driver was found to have been drinking and after failing field sobriety tests, Eugene Griffin, 36, was arrested for OVI and DUS and transported to KPD Jail where he refused datmaster.

At 11:32 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the area of E. Dorothy Ln and Culver Ave. for making an Improper Turn and Weaving. The driver was suspected to have been drinking. After performing field sobriety tests, Robert Patterson, 69, was arrested for OVI and transported to KPD Jail for processing. Once at the jail, Patterson refused the Datamaster.

At 11:58 p.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Dorothy and California, when he clocked a vehicle moving 50 in a 35 zone. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Patrick D. Daugherty, 50, was found to be OVI after failing the field sobriety tests. Daugherty was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail, where he refused any further testing. Daugherty was also cited for having an expired Operator’s License.

At 6:56 p.m., an officer stopped a suspicious subject walking on S. Dixie at Old Lane. He checked the subjects for wants and warrants and discovered the subject had an active warrant from Miami Twp, original charge Driving Under Suspension. Mark J. Medsker, 33, was taken into custody and transported to KPD jail for processing.

At 8:19 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle at Carrlands and Shroyer. The driver of the vehicle, Timothy P. Keller, 44, was driving under suspension. He was arrested and brought to KPD Jail without incident.

At 9:10 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at Woodman and Aragon. The driver had no driving privileges. Jaclynn S. Egan, 27, was arrested for DUS and transported to KPD jail.

Thursday, Jan. 24

At 12:55 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Wilmington/Willamet, when he clocked a vehicle moving 58 in a 35 zone. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Anthony Q. Ellison, 23, was found to be DUS. Ellison was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail without incident.

At 1:15 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Wilmington and Patterson for speeding and weaving. The driver, Deirdre E. Unroe, 34, was found to have been drinking. After performing field sobriety tests, Unroe was arrested for OVI and transported to KPD Jail for processing without incident. Once at the jail, Unroe tested a .119 on the datamaster.

At 2:55 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Far Hills and David, when he observed a vehicle make a stop at the red light as it moved into the intersection. He began following the vehicle, and observed it failing to maintain a continuous lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Kathryn D. Howell, 19, was found to be OVI after failing the field sobriety tests. Howell was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail, where she tested .092 BAC.

At 3:04 a.m., an officer drove upon a one car accident at Dorothy and Acorn. He found that the driver, Gregory D. Ignasiak, 23, was OVI after he failed the field sobriety tests. Ignasiak decided at this point that he needed to go to the hospital. He was transported to KMH, where he refused any tests. He was issued a summons for Possession of Marijuana, and cited for Driving Under Suspension, Failure to Control, and OVI.

At 1 p.m., an officer went to the UDF on W. Stroop on a warrant detail. Upon arrival he took custody of Amanda N. Rydel, 19, wanted on our active warrant, original charge assault, and transported her to the jail without incident.

At 1:40 p.m., an officer went to Springboro PD on a warrant detail. Upon arrival he took custody of Burton L. Dixon, 39, wanted on a KPD active warrant, and transported him to the jail where he was served.

Friday, Jan. 25

At 11:55 p.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Dorothy and Bobbie, when he observed a vehicle run the red light. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver, Evonne D. Williams, 41, was found to be DUS. Williams was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail without incident.

At 12:15 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Far Hills and Loop Road, to meet with a Franklin PD officer, who had detained Stephanie M. Willis, 21, on a Kettering Municipal Courts’ warrant. Willis was transported to the KPD Jail for processing.

At 2:32 a.m., an officer stopped a car for an equipment violation on W. Dorothy Ln. at Hilton. Upon talking to the driver, Anthony J. Smith, 37, the officer suspected that the subject had been drinking. The subject failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject tested .214 BAC on the Datamaster.

At 2:50 a.m., an officer stopped a car for erratic driving at Shroyer Rd. and Dorothy Ln. Upon talking to the driver, Stephen G. Klase, 38, the officer suspected that the subject had been drinking. The subject failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject advised the officer that he had also taken some prescribed medicine along with drinking and then refused the Datamaster test.

At 4:04 p.m., an officer was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle on Smithville at Tabor with expired Florida license plates. He stopped the vehicle and found that the driver, Zane C. Wintersteen, 33, was under suspension. He was arrested and brought to KPD Jail. The front seat passenger, Tramehl J. Turley, 25, had an active warrant from Kettering for Contempt of Court. Upon checking him they found crack cocaine. He was arrested and charged with the possession of cocaine and the warrant.

At 5:07 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle on South Dixie and when he attempted to stop the vehicle he noticed that the driver and passenger switched positions. Upon stopping the vehicle at Glen Beck he found that the original driver, Joshua R. Thomas, 23, was driving under suspension. He was arrested for the violation and also issued citations for other traffic offenses.

Saturday, Jan. 26

At 1:43 a.m., crews responded to the Speedway at 1224 E. Stroop Rd. on a robbery alarm. Upon arrival, the officers found that a black male subject had forcibly robbed the store of the money in the cash drawer. The suspect did not display a weapon but used force to commit the robbery. The suspect fled on foot and crews were unable to locate a suspect. The investigation continues.

At 2:10 a.m., officers received information about a possible OVI at the MacDonald’s on Wilmington Pk. at Dorothy Ln. The information included a description of the vehicle and driver and the fact that the driver has over 15 OVI convictions including eight in the last 20 years. The officers found the subject in his vehicle in the lot. The subject initially agreed to perform the field sobriety tests but when it came to doing the tests, he refused. The officer was however able to perform the HGN on the subject, receiving 6 points. The driver, Richard J. Snoeberger, 47, was placed under arrest and brought to KPD for processing. The subject refused to submit to Datamaster testing. Felony charges will be sought on the subject.

At 2:20 a.m., an officer met with a Xenia PD officer at Fairfield Rd. and St. Rt. 35 and took custody of Timothy W. Riley W/M/25 on a warrant from our court. The subject was brought to KPD for processing.

At 2:40 a.m., an officer stopped a car at E. Dorothy Ln. and Ghent Ave for driving without its headlights on. Upon talking to the driver, Tommy L. Potts, 33, it was discovered that the subject was under several suspensions. The subject was taken into custody and brought to KPD for processing.

At 4:20 p.m., a subject came into KPD to turn himself in on an active warrant for his arrest. An officer responded and took custody of Garrett S. Smith, 18, original charge traffic. Smith was walked to the jail and processed.

At 4:37 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Montgomery County Jail to pick up a subject wanted on an active KPD warrant. He took custody of Michael A. Tucker, 24, original charge Felonious Assault. Tucker was transported to KPD jail without incident.

At 9:34 p.m., crews were sent to Far Hills and Rahn on a single car crash. They found a vehicle was northbound on Far Hills and left the roadway just south of Rahn Rd, jumping over the guard rail. an officer found the driver had been drinking and failed field sobriety tests. The driver, Alejandro D. Ochoa, 45, was arrested for OVI and transported to KPD jail. Ochoa tested .223 and has 2 prior OVI convictions.

Sunday, Jan. 27

At 1:45 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Dorothy and Delco Park, when he observed a vehicle speeding and driving erratically. As he turned around to follow the vehicle, it immediately turned southbound onto Valleywood. As he caught up with the car, it was already parked behind Bob Evans, and a man was walking away from it. He turned toward the man, and the man, later identified as Marc W. Wright Jr., 22, began to run. The officer lost sight of Wright, and a second officer located the subject near Beaverton and Bulah. The first officer identified Wright as the man who ran from him. Wright was arrested for an active warrant from Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and Obstructing Official Business. A female in the car, Kristen N. Gunn, 26, reportedly lied to the officers about knowing Wright, so she was also arrested and charged with Obstructing. Wright and Gunn were both transported to the KPD Jail.

At 1:26 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Dorothy and Valleywood, when he clocked a vehicle at 56 in a 35 mph zone. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Kevin C. Hollis, 37, was found to be Driving Under Suspension. Hollis was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail without incident.

At 3:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to a domestic violence call in the 2100 block of Hazel. As they arrived, they found that Joseph P. Albert, 29, had assaulted a female described as his girlfriend and mother of his children. KPD reports this is the third time that Albert had assaulted the female subject. Albert had fled the scene to his sister’s house on Alton Ave. in Dayton. Dayton PD was able to pick him up a short time later. An officer went to Dayton and arrested Albert, transported him to KPD Jail, and charged him with Felony Domestic Violence.

At 2:15 p.m., an officer located a subject at an apartment in the 3300 block of E. Stroop who was wanted on an active KPD warrant. He arrested Charmaine M. Roach, 46, on the warrant, original charge drug paraphernalia, and transported her to KPD jail without incident.

At 7:26 p.m., crews were sent to the 2800 block of Rushland on a domestic disturbance involving a subject with a loaded shotgun. The subject was taken into custody when he exited the house while a police perimeter was being set up. The investigation showed the subject received a threatening phone call and loaded a shotgun to take care of the problem. This caused his adult father and sister to fear for their safety and the safety of the sister’s infant son so much that they called police. Ethan Bramble, 20, was arrested for inducing panic and having a weapon while intoxicated. He was transported to KPD jail for processing.

Monday, Jan. 28

At 2 a.m. an officer was dispatched to Exit 36 of I-75 to meet with an Ohio State Patrol Officer, who had detained David G. Sipple, 20, on a Kettering Municipal Courts’ warrant. Sipple was transported to the KPD Jail without incident.

At 2:19 a.m., officers were clearing an alarm at Speedway on Bigger when they observed a car traveling eastbound on Andrew, crossing Bigger, without lights. The car ran over curb and struck a sign. A traffic stop was initiated at in the 2200 block of Andrew. As the car pulled into the drive, it veered off, and almost struck the house at 2260 Andrew. The driver, Rodney H Adkins, 35, was found to be OVI after failing the field sobriety tests. Adkins was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail, where he refused the Datamaster.

At 4:42 p.m., an officer located a subject in the 1900 block of E. Stroop who was wanted for an active warrant from Bellbrook PD. During the arrest the subject was found in possession of several Sch II, III, and IV prescription drugs. Jeffery D. Tamme, 25, was arrested on the warrant and charge with Misdemeanor and Felony Drug Possession. Tamme was transported to KPD jail without incident.

At 5 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Dayton Heart Hospital to serve a summons on Patrick E. McCullough, 59. The original charge was for theft and this was followed with a failure to appear.

At 6 p.m., an officer arrested Michael L. Moore, 58, for Domestic Violence during a call to the 2800 block of Ghent. Moore was also served a misdemeanor summons for possession of marijuana. He was transported to KPD jail without incident.

Tuesday, Jan. 29

At 12:14 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Wilmington/Stroop, when he observed a vehicle that was in front of his car, sit through three traffic light cycles. He pulled up to the vehicle and found that the driver, Ryan M. Dunham, 21, had fallen asleep at the wheel. A traffic stop was initiated, and Dunham began to drive through the intersection on a red light, but was quickly stopped. Dunham was found to be OVI after failing the field sobriety tests. Dunham was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail where he refused any further testing. Dunham also received a summons for “Possession of Marijuana.”

At 1:20 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Dorothy and Woodman, when he observed a vehicle with an expired Kentucky temporary tags. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Charles H. Wilson, 20, was found to be Driving Under Suspension. Wilson was arrested, and his vehicle was searched incident to arrest. A marijuana pipe was located, so Wilson was also issued a summons for “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.”

At 3:10 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Southmoor and Oakview, when he observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Bart C. Berutti, 38, was found to be Driving Under Suspension. Berutti, was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail.

At 3:47 p.m., an officer stopped a car for driving without a front plate. The driver, Anthony D. Clemmer, 28, was found to be under a random verification suspension and showed an active warrant through West Chester PD. After conformation, Clemmer was arrested and brought to KPD Jail for processing.

Ernest V. Vance, 39, was taken into custody at the Montgomery County Jail on a Kettering Court warrant.

Wednesday, Jan. 30

At 3 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Wilmington/Stroop, when she observed a vehicle moving 50 in a 35 mph zone. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Michael D. Leight, 31, was found to be driving under suspension. Leight was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail without incident.

Billy Baker, 34, was taken into custody at the Montgomery County Jail on a Kettering Court warrant.

At 4:02 p.m., an officer made a traffic stop at Woodman and Forrer. He found that the driver, Gino D. Marin, 36, was driving under suspension. He was placed under arrest and as a result of the search incident to the arrest was also charged with drug possession.

Amanda G. Atkinson, 24, was taken into custody at the Greene County Jail on a Kettering warrant.

At 8:05 p.m., officers went to the 2800 block of Woodman Dr. on a warrant service. Upon their arrival they made contact with the Ryan C. Blatz, 20. The officers confirmed his identity and he was arrested and transported to the Kettering Jail where he was served.

Thursday, Jan. 31

At 12:24 a.m., an officer stopped a car on Wilmington Pk. at Dorothy Ln. for weaving and driving erratically. The driver, Aaron D. Hawkey, 19, failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject submitted a urine sample for analysis due to the presence of marijuana in the car.

At 2:45 a.m., an officer stopped a car for weaving on Dorothy Ln. at Stroop Rd. Upon talking to the driver, Jennifer J. Cook, 20, the officer suspected that she had been drinking. The driver failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject tested .119 BAC on the Datamaster.

At 3 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Bigger/Whipp, when he observed a vehicle failing to maintain a continuous lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Horace Glenn, 52, was found to be OVI after failing the field sobriety tests. Glenn was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail, where he tested .087 BAC.

At 4:45 a.m., officers responded to the 2500 block of N. Aragon Ave. at the request of Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to locate David M. Thompson, 32, who was wanted on a warrant for felonious assault. The officers located the subject and took him into custody. The subject was brought to KPD for processing then transported to MCSO and their paperwork completed by the KPD officer.

At 7:55 p.m., an officer responded to the 1000 block of Mendota on the follow up investigation of telephone harassment. His suspect was present and the officer ran him through a computer check which resulted in information that Chauncy D. Brown, 22, had an active warrant for his arrest through the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. He was placed under arrest and brought to KPD Jail without incident.

Friday, Feb. 1

At 2:37 a.m., an officer observed a car weaving on Woodman at Dorothy Ln. Upon stopping the car, the officer found that the driver, Jason L. Bond, 22, was under suspension. The subject was brought to KPD for processing.

At 2:54 a.m., officers responded to the area of the 100 block of Sheringham on a report of a family problem where the male was intoxicated and leaving the residence in a vehicle. One officer observed the subject, Kaleb T. Blankenship, 22, return home in the vehicle. The officer administered the field sobriety tests and the subject failed. The subject was brought to KPD for processing. The subject tested .140 BAC on the Datamaster.

At 4:30 p.m., an officer stopped the suspect for a traffic violation in the area of Wilmington Pk. and Jaybee Ct. The driver of the vehicle was found to have an active suspension for a drug related charge. David R. Gross, 50, was arrested for the suspension and transported to the Kettering Jail.

At 5:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Courtyards of Kettering on the report of a Temporary Protection Order violation. Upon arrival they spoke with the complainant who stated that her ex-boyfriend had violated the protection order she had signed the day before. The officers went to the ex-boyfriend’s apartment in the 1500 block of E. Dorothy Lane where they located the suspect. Jason N. Deckard, 38, was arrested on two warrants, Domestic Violence and Aggravated Menacing. He was transported to the Kettering Jail.

At 8:01 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on Brainard at Whipp Rd. for no license plate light and a turn signal violation. He approached vehicle and smelled a strong odor of marijuana. A K-9 unit arrived on scene and hit on the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed bagged crack, bagged cocaine and pills. Also found was bagged marijuana, all of which was concealed in the shoe of the driver and of the passenger. Stephone A. Grier, 28, was arrested for the felony drug possession. Darnell J. Stargell, 18, was cited for drug paraphernalia and marijuana possession.

At 8:19 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Tabor on a robbery which had just occurred. Upon arrival they found the victim, a delivery driver for Dragon City who had been sprayed with a chemical agent. The driver stated that he was delivering an order to 1351 Tabor, not a good address. When he pulled up in front of the apartment building he got out and approached a subject who was sitting in front of the building. The suspect told the driver he wanted his money, the driver refused and headed back to his car. When he got into the car, he was maced by the suspect and then the suspect ran off. Nothing was taken by the suspect. The suspect was described as a white male, 5-foot 7-inches tall, 160 pounds, in his 20’s wearing a black parka-type coat.

Saturday, Feb. 2

At 1:30 a.m., an officer stopped a car for a speeding violation on E. Dorothy Ln. and Haig Ave. Upon talking to the driver, Justin A. Baker, 22, the officer suspected that he had been drinking. Baker failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject tested .149 BAC on the Datamaster.

At 2:30 a.m., an officer pulled over a car on Wilmington Pk at the Jiffy Lube for a red light and weaving violation. The officer suspected that the driver, Adriel E. Owens, 40, had been drinking. The subject failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject tested .181 BAC on the Datamaster.

At 3:30 a.m., crews responded to the 5600 block of Coach Dr. East at the request of Dayton PD to attempt to locate a subject wanted in connection to a fatal fight in Dayton. Upon arrival, the officers located the subject and several friends and took control of them until Dayton PD detectives responded to the scene. Investigation continues but all facts point to the entire incident occurring in Dayton.

Jeffery Murdock, 20, was taken into custodya t the Montgomery County Jail on a Kettering warrant for Driving Under Suspension.

At 10:14 a.m., an officer responded to Dot’s Market on a theft complaint. Investigation revealed that Ricky B. Patterson, 51, had concealed several items on his person and left the store without paying for them. The items were valued at $27.06. Patterson was arrested and transported to the jail.

At 11;30 a.m., an officer was dispatched to KMH on report of a wanted subject who was getting ready to leave. Upon arrival he located and arrested Sarah Anne Neef, 29, who had several active warrants from other jurisdictions.

Tony J. Knowles, 43, was taken into custody at the Montgomery County Jail on a Kettering warrant.

At 5:35 p.m., an officer made a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Patterson. The passenger in the vehicle, Shenell Jackson, 27, was found to have an active warrant. She was arrested and brought to KPD Jail without incident.

Saturday, Feb. 2

At 8 p.m., crews were sent to KMH in reference to a subject fighting with security in the parking lot. When crews arrived, they found the subject in a vehicle which did not belong to him. He was transported to KMH by W. Carrollton PD and dropped off. The subject was intoxicated and upset that he wasn’t being attended to at the hospital so he decided to leave. When security tried to stop him he began fighting. Subject was finally pink-slipped.

At 9:45 p.m., crews were sent back to KMH to assist security with the subject from above who was fighting with them. An officer arrived on scene first and used her TASER, gaining compliance from the subject who had assaulted the security staff. Crews remained on scene until the doctors medicated the subject. He eventually calmed down and was restrained to his bed.

At 11 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 2200 block of Patterson Blvd on a report of a family trouble. While doing a warrant check on the involved party, he was advised that a Kneshia N. Mills, 21, was wanted on two outside warrants. After conformation Mills was taken into custody.

Sunday, Feb. 3

At 1:30 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on Shroyer at Issac Prrugh after first observing the vehicle to be stuck up on a concrete Island in the Town and Country Plaza. The vehicle then continued north on Shroyer, driving left of center and then running the red traffic signal at Shroyer and Lincoln Park. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was suspected to have been drinking. After failing field sobriety tests, David M. Morris, 24, was arrested for OVI and Driving Under Suspen and transported to KPD Jail where he tested .144 on Datamaster.

Jason M. Tracy, 30, was taken into custody from Miamisburg PD on a Kettering warrant.

At 1:50 a.m., an officer stopped a car as it was leaving the scene of a disturbance on Corona. The driver, Terrance Butts, 18, was suspected to have been drinking. After failing field sobriety tests, he was arrested for OVI and transported to KPD Jail where he tested .104 on datamaster.

At 2:47 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Wilmington Pk and Jaybee for weaving. It was suspected the driver, Sean T. Moore, 25, had been drinking. After performing field sobriety tests, Moore was arrested for OVI and transported to KPD Jail. Once at the jail, Moore blew a .143 on the Datamaster.

George P. Nelson, 38, was taken into custody at the Montgomery County Jail on a Kettering warrant.

At 9:30 p.m., an officer was running plates in the area of Cordell and Hertland when she got a hit on a truck parked in front of a residence in the 1500 block of Cordell Dr. The warrant was confirmed through Miami Twp., the original charge was Driving Under Suspension. Two officers made contact at the residence and found the suspect at home. Jack William Vetter, 30, was arrested and transported to the Kettering Jail.

At 11:35 p.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Wilmington and Woodman, when she observed a vehicle commit a “red light” violation. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Terry L. Baker, 50, was found to be Driving Under Suspension. Baker was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail without incident.

Monday, Feb. 4

At 12:46 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Wilmington and Aero, when she observed a vehicle failing to maintain a continuous lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Nathan R. Griffiths, 37, was found to be OVI after failing the field sobriety test. As the officer was speaking with Griffiths, she observed a baggie of what she believed to be cocaine next to him. Griffiths admitted that he had just purchased the cocaine from someone at The Greene. Griffiths was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail where he refused the BAC. Griffiths was charged with OVI, No OL, and Possession of Cocaine.

At 1:30 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Stroop and Glenheath, when he observed a vehicle with only one headlight operating. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Luke A. Burns, 19, was suspected to have been smoking marijuana in the car. Burns gave officers permission to search his car. As they were searching, they located a small amount of marijuana under the front seat, a glass marijuana pipe, a grinder, scales, and an additional 223.95 grams of marijuana. $385 was also located in the glove box. Burns was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail without incident. Burns reportedly did admit to dealing marijuana to an officer. A detective was contacted, and he will follow-up with the case.

At 1:38 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Woodman and Dorothy, when he observed a truck make an improper turn, begin to drive erratically, and then pull into the exit of Kroger. A traffic stop was initiated. The driver, a 14-year-old girl, was found to not have an Operator’s License. The girl’s mother, Sheilah L. Watkins, 43, had given her daughter permission to drive the mother’s boyfriend to Taco Bell because they were hungry. The girl was cited for No OL and a Lanes Violation. The mother was cited for Wrongful Entrustment. This case is also being reviewed by the law department for Child Endangering charges against the mother. The boyfriend, Greg Hester, 43, was also cited for Wrongful Entrustment.

At 7:41 p.m., officers located a subject wanted on an active KPD warrant in the 3100 block of LaRue. Michael C. Eck, 19, was arrested on the warrant, original charge Aggravated Assault. Eck was transported to KPD jail for processing.

At 9:52 p.m., an officer stopped a suspicious vehicle behind the 500 block of Hadley. The driver had an active warrant for her arrest. Amber Stull, 23, was arrested on the KPD warrant, original charge Driving Under Suspension. Stull was transported to KPD jail without incident.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

At 12:01 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Dorothy and Delco Park, when he stopped a vehicle for a “partially obscured license plate.” The driver, Nicholas F. Flowers, 18, was found to be driving under suspension and was arrested and transported to the KPD Jail without incident.

At 12:45 a.m., an officer stopped a car for an equipment violation and weaving on Woodman Dr. near Bingham Ave. Upon talking to the driver, Hubert H. Short III, 36, the officer suspected the subject had been drinking. The subject failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject refused to submit to Datamaster testing. According to the report, this subject has several prior refusals.

At 12:10 a.m., an officer made a traffic stop when he ran a computer check on a passenger, Michael C. Eck, 19, and found that he had an active warrant for his arrest from Dayton PD. Eck was arrested, and at that time was found to have marijuana on his person. Eck was transported to the KPD Jail for the warrant, and issued summons for the marijuana.

At 1:35 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Bigger and Hewitt, when she observed a vehicle commit a stop sign violation. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Scott J. Niederstadt, 30, was found to be Driving Under Suspension. Niederstadt was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail without incident.

At 9:32 p.m., an officer was sent to Meijer on Wilmington, for an adult shoplifter in custody. Store security detained a subject after she concealed $163.72 of merchandise and then attempted to leave the store without paying for it. Deborah J. Staley, 37, was arrested for theft and transported to KPD jail for processing.

Eartha L. Smith, 50, was taken into custody at the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office on a KPD warrant.

Wednesday, Feb. 6

At 3:10 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Dorothy and Purdue, when he observed a vehicle with no license plate light and failing to maintain a continuous lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Jeremie C. Morris, 27, was found to be OVI after failing the field sobriety tests. Morris was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail, where he refused any further tests.

At 3:55 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 3000 block of Woodman Dr. The driver had no driving privileges due to an FRA suspension. Lonnie R. Hazlip, 33, was arrested for DUS and transported to KPD jail.

KPD received reports of several vehicles at the Kettering Rec Center, 2900 Glengarry, and Ladies Premiere Fitness, 3070 Woodman, were broken into and had purses/wallets taken. A white male suspect was seen at the thefts on Woodman.

At 5:48 p.m., crews responded to an Attempted Aggravated Robbery at the Ameristop, 1920 E. Whipp Rd. A black male subject reportedly showed the victim a handgun and demanded his money. The suspect left the area in a green vehicle without any money from the victim. A partial registration was obtained and is being followed up on.

At 6:42 p.m. crews responded to the 1600 block of Phoenix on a report of subjects entering a house under construction. An officer located two juveniles and learned they cut the Tyvex sheeting and entered the house. A 15-year-old male and 14-year-old female were arrested for Criminal Trespassing and Criminal Damaging and turned over to their parents.

At 7:20 p.m., an officer was sent to the 5400 block of Bunkerhill on a disturbance. The male resident had allegedly assaulted the female resident. Lucas R. Pelhan, 23, was arrested for Domestic Violence and transported to KPD jail for processing.

At 8:11 p.m., crews were dispatched to Meijer on Wilmington Pike for a male shoplifter who left the store without paying for concealed merchandise. The suspect fled on foot and was located by two officers. The suspect was taken back to Meijer where he was identified by security. Willie M. Haygood Jr., 65, was arrested for Theft of over $300 of merchandise. Haygood was transported to KPD jail without incident.

At 9 p.m., an officer located an intoxicated female walking on Marshall at Rose Bower. Another officer responded and arrested Keitha Pugh, 43, for Disorderly Conduct – Public Intoxication after he determined she was too intoxicated to care for herself. Pugh was transported to KPD jail for processing.

At 11:40 p.m., an officer was on routine patrol in the area of E. Dorothy and Valleywood when he ran the registration of a vehicle in front of him. The registered owner showed suspended. After verifying the driver matched the physical description of the owner, the vehicle was stopped. An officer did find the driver was in fact the owner of the vehicle. Kyle R. Ingle, 18, was then arrested for Driving Under a License Forfeiture Suspension. Ingle was the transported to KPD Jail for processing without incident.

Thursday, Feb. 7

At 12:01 a.m., an officer stopped a suspicious vehicle in the area of Montgomery Sq. and Valley Forge. The officer found the driver, Patrick R. Johnson, 26, had an entered warrant through the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Comply on a traffic charge. Johnson was also found to be under a License Forfeiture Suspension. Johnson was arrested for Driving Under Suspension as well as the warrant and transported to KPD Jail for processing without incident.

At 1 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the area of S. Dixie and Mayo for a possible registration violation. The officer discovered the driver, Robert L. Bailey Jr., 28, was under several suspensions including a Non-Compliance/FRA and a Child Support Suspension. Bailey was arrested and transported to KPD Jail for processing without incident.

At 1:44 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle run the red light at Wilmington Pk. and E. Dorothy Ln. The vehicle was then paced at over 80 mph and eventually stopped at E. Dorothy Ln. and Hazelwood. The driver, Michael J. Kasson, 31, was found to have been drinking. After performing field sobriety tests, Kasson was arrested for OVI. Kasson was transported to KPD Jail for processing where he later tested .185 on the Datamaster.

At 2 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Bada Bing Lounge on Whipp Rd on report of an intoxicated female trying to steal bottles of alcohol. When he arrived he located the suspect, Brigette L. Tolson, 27, inside the bar. Tolson was found to be highly intoxicated. Tolson admitted to trying to steal the alcohol. Bada Bing’s did not pursue charges for theft, however, Tolson was arrested for Disorderly Conduct/Public Intoxication. Tolson was transported to KPD Jail for processing. Once at the jail, Tolson was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and was issued a summons for that offense as well.

At 2:40 a.m., an officer stopped a car for a moving violation on Brainard at Whipp Rd. Upon talking to the driver, Matthew B. Schultheis, 30, the officer suspected that he had been drinking. The subject failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject tested .142 BAC on the Datamaster.

At 4:08 p.m., an officer received information that a subject wanted on an active Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Forgery warrant was in the Van Buren Apartments. She located the subject and arrested Bobby L. Cornish II, 26. Cornish was transported to KPD jail and turned over to MCSO.

At 11:22 p.m., an officer stopped a car for a speeding and moving violation on E. Dorothy Ln. at Berkley. Upon talking to the driver, Alexus Blazze Winston, 20, the officer discovered that he was under suspension and had outstanding warrants from Dayton PD. The subject was brought to KPD for processing.

At 11:58 p.m., officers responded to the Speedway on Bigger Rd. on a robbery alarm. The clerk stated that a black male was observed hanging around outside the business just prior to closing. When the clerk went inside after taking out the trash, the subject came inside and produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspect fled behind the business. The investigation continues.

Friday, Feb. 8

At 1:04 a.m., an officer contacted Ryan J. Kohls, 18, in the 3500 block of Wilmington Pk. in reference a complaint the officer was investigating. The officer found that there was an active warrant for Kohls so the subject was taken into custody and brought to KPD for processing.

At 1:40 a.m., an officer stopped a car for a lane change violation on Wilmington Pk. at Smithville Rd. The officer contacted the driver, Branden L. Bobo, 25, and discovered the subject was under suspension. The subject was brought to KPD for processing.

At 2:35 a.m., an officer observed a car speeding on Shroyer Rd. north of Stroop Rd. The car then struck a “Keep Right” road sign in the median at Shroyer and Oakview. The officer attempted to stop the car but it continued onto Hollendale then stopped in a driveway. The officer found the driver, John W. Eichelberger, 37, to be intoxicated. The subject was brought to KPD for processing. The report stated the subject had five prior convictions for OVI so felony charges will be sought. The subject was also under suspension and had taken the car without permission of the owner. The subject refused to submit to Datamaster testing.

At 2:55 a.m., an officer stopped a car for a moving violation on E. Dorothy Ln. between Woodman Dr. and Wilmington Pk. The officer found that the driver, Joshua D. Mathis, 28, had been drinking. The subject failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject refused to submit to Datamaster testing.

At 3:46 a.m., an officer observed a car run the red light at Wilmington Pk. and Dorothy Ln. Upon stopping the car, the officer suspected that the driver, Stacey E. Howell, 31, had been drinking. The subject failed the field sobriety tests. He was brought to KPD for processing. The subject refused to submit to Datamaster testing.

At 12:45 p.m., officers went to the Cricket store at 2707 Wilmington on report an intoxicated subject inside the store. Once inside it was determined that Danny W. Brewer, 45, was intoxicated and unable to care for himself so he was arrested for Disorderly Conduct/Public Intoxication.

At 7:09 p.m., an officer was on routine patrol in the area of Kettering Square when he observed a vehicle being driven by Darrell Evans leave the apartment of a known drug abuser. The officer made a traffic stop on the vehicle because he knew that the driver was under suspension. Darrell Evans, 21, was arrested on the suspension; his vehicle was towed to the Kettering Police Dept. and crews were called to investigate. The K-9 unit found a small amount of cocaine in the vehicle and Evans was charged with the felony. Detectives and the K-9 unit went to Evans’ apartment on Croftshire and the K-9 hit on the door of the apartment.

At 11:05 p.m., an officer responded to the area of Woodman Dr. and E. Dorothy Ln. on report of an intoxicated subject walking in the area. Upon arrival, the subject, Nathaniel S. Johnstone, 21, was located staggering through the construction area of the new United Dairy Farmers. The subject was very intoxicated and was taken into custody and brought to KPD for processing.

Saturday, Feb. 9

At 1:20 a.m., an officer observed a car leaving the parking lot of the Phone Booth Lounge at 1554 E. Stroop Rd. by driving over the parking blocks. Upon stopping the car, the officer suspected that the driver, Peggy L. Shaw, 56, had been drinking. The subject started to perform the field sobriety tests then stopped, stating that her attorney advised her not to perform any tests. She was taken into custody and brought to KPD for processing. The subject refused to submit to Datamaster testing.

At 1:15 a.m., crews were dispatched to Kings Point Pub on report of an assault that had just occurred and the suspect was being held by patrons. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, suspect, and several witnesses. Upon investigating this incident, the officers determined that Richard M. Maddox, 47, had come to the bar reportedly to exact revenge for an incident that allegedly occurred a few weeks ago. The suspect then assaulted the victim without warning. The victim stated he had never seen the suspect before and has no idea what he is upset about. The suspect was taken into custody and brought to KPD for processing.

At 2:10 a.m., an officer stopped a car for a license plate violation in the 3500 block of Southern Blvd. The officer found Lori B. Sigmund, 19, operating the vehicle. Upon checking, the officer discovered an active warrant for the subject from Dayton PD. The subject was brought to KPD for processing.

At 3:03 a.m., an officer observed a car weaving on Forrer Blvd. near Mayl. Upon stopping the car, the officer suspected that the driver, James E. West, 41, had been drinking. The subject failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject also was driving under suspension and then refused to submit to Datamaster testing once at KPD.

At 3:15 a.m., an officer stopped a car on Smithville Rd. at Wilmington Pk. after observing it driving on a flat tire. The officer suspected that the driver, Paul C. Houston, 48, had been drinking. The subject failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject refused to submit to Datamaster testing.

Kevin J. Rowe, 19, was taken into custody at the Montgomery County Jail on a Kettering Court warrant.

At 4:30 a.m., an officer responded to the 1800 block of Culver on report of a family problem. This was the second time crews had been to this address in the hour. The officer had calmed the problem initially and the arguing couple was separated. The male, Kevin S. Bader, 39, called KPD to report that he wanted to watch TV and the female refused to give him the remote. The officer again tried to reason with the subject and the male went to his bedroom with the understanding of going to bed. The male then continued to scream and cuss about the situation even though he was in a different room and how he was the one who called to begin with. He was politely asked to calm down as he had now awakened everybody in the house. Due to the male’s extreme intoxication he would not quiet down even when he was in the bedroom. The subject then kept coming out of the bedroom yelling about how this wasn’t fair. He continued to be disruptive and abusive. He was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and brought to KPD for processing.

Sunday, Feb. 10

Mark E. Klein, 49, was taken into custody from Riverside PD on a Kettering Court warrant.

At 7:11 p.m., an officer made a traffic stop at Oakmont and Lavern for an equipment violation. Upon checking the driver, Brandon T. Madachy, 23, was driving under suspension. He was arrested and brought to KPD Jail without incident.

Monday, Feb. 11

At 12:18 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Brainard and Whipp when he observed a vehicle with only one headlight working. The vehicle also made an improper turn and failed to signal a turn. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Steven A. Travis, 39, was found to be OVI after failing the field sobriety tests. Travis was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail where he refused any further testing.

At 1:30 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of County Line and Research when he observed a vehicle with no rear license plate light. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, James A. Dalton, 28, was found to be DUS. Dalton was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail without incident.

At 2:56 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Hempstead and Stroop, when he observed a vehicle backing up Hempstead in what appeared to be an effort to avoid being caught. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Susan F. Seitz, 47, was found to be OVI after failing the field sobriety tests. Seitz was arrested and transported to the KPD Jail, where she tested .102 BAC.

At 5:06 p.m., officers were dispatched to Bigger and David on a traffic accident. While investigating, they learned that Sharnee D. Johnson, 26, lied about her identity. In further checking they found that there was a warrant for her arrest from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. She was arrested and charged with falsification.

Christina M. Gibson, 25, was taken into custody from Huber Heights PD on a Kettering warrant.

At 9:04 p.m., an officer stopped Allen C. Graves, 27, for a speeding violation on S. Dixie at Bowman. Upon checking him through the computer it was found that there was an active Dayton warrant and he was driving under an FRA Non-Compliance suspension and a Child Support Suspension. He was arrested and brought to KPD Jail.

Tuesday, Feb. 12

At 2:35 a.m., an officer stopped a car for a speeding violation on E. Dorothy Ln. at Woodman Dr. Upon talking to the driver, Christine M. Steffen, 41, the officer suspected she had been drinking. The subject failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject refused to submit to Datamaster testing. The subject was also cited for having prescription medicine on her possession not in properly labeled containers.

Wednesday, Feb. 13

At 12:19 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of the 600 block of Wiltshire when he observed a parked vehicle that had its engine running and driver’s door open. He made contact with the driver, Jeremy C. Falletta, 38, who the officer suspected had been drinking. Falletta took the keys out of the vehicle, and went into the building. A short time later, the officer observed the vehicle moving at Corona/Acorn, with Falletta driving. A traffic stop was initiated, and Falletta was found to be OVI after failing the field sobriety tests. Falletta was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail where he refused the datamaster.

Jushelem E. Smith, 22, was taken into custody from Miami Twp. PD on a Kettering Court warrant.

At 2:05 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle which appeared to have run off the road on Cloverfield before coming to rest in the grass just South of Crawdaddy’s Bar. The vehicle was running and the driver appeared to be passed out at the wheel. The driver, James R. Heaps, 27, was suspected to have been drinking. After performing field sobriety tests, Heaps was arrested for OVI and transported to KPD Jail for processing. Heaps was reportedly uncooperative and complained about being arrested while sitting at the bar. Heaps refused the datamaster.

At 4:15 p.m., officers arrested Christopher Bysak, 21, at 1926 E. Bataan on a Kettering warrant.

At 4:45 p.m., crews were sent to an apartment in the 4600 block of Marshall Rd. on report of a domestic disturbance. The investigation showed the husband assaulted his wife and disabled the phone to keep her from calling police. Justin M. Turner, 20, was arrested for Domestic Violence and Disrupting Public Service. Turner was transported to KPD jail for processing.

At 11:58 p.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Wilmington and Jaybee, when he observed a vehicle in the lot of Skyline Chili acting suspiciously. The vehicle pulled out onto Wilmington. The officer observed the vehicle did not have a rear license plate light. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Steven A. Downing, 49, was found to be OVI after failing the field sobriety tests. Downing was also Driving Under Suspension. Downing was arrested, and transported to the KPD Jail, where he refused any further testing.

Thursday, Feb. 14

At 1:55 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on Wilmington Pk just north of E. Dorothy Ln. for weaving. While completing this traffic stop the officer observed a vehicle circling the area driving erraticly. The driver of the second vehicle was found to be the boyfriend of the female driver the officer had stopped. The officer cleared the initial stop with a warning. He then observed the second vehicle Fail to Yield from a Private Drive and initiated another traffic stop. The driver of the second vehicle, James M. Weatherford, 26, was suspected to have been drinking. After completing field sobriety tests, Weatherford was arrested for OVI and transported to KPD Jail for processing where he later tested .208 on the Datamaster.

At 3 a.m., an officer stopped a car at Wilmington and Smithville for driving on the wrong side of the road. Upon talking to the driver, Kimberly L. Guy, 47, the officer suspected that she had been drinking. The subject failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject tested .209 BAC on the Datamaster.

Friday, Feb. 15

Brittany R. Gillam was taken into custody from West Carrollton PD on a Kettering Court warrant.

At 2:30 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the area of E. Dorothy and Delaine for no front plate and no license plate light. The driver, Prince Don Lerke, 27, was found to be under a Violator Compact Suspension as well as a Court Suspension. Lerke was arrested for Driving Under Suspension and transported to KPD Jail for processing without incident.

At 2:35 a.m., an officer stopped a car on Dorothy Ln. at Oakmont Ave. for a moving violation. Upon talking to the driver, Chad M. Thomas, 21, the officer suspected that he had been drinking. The subject failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to KPD for processing. The subject tested .124 BAC on the Datamaster.

Jeffrey P. Thompson, 24, was taken into custody at the Montgomery County Jail on a warrant for Failure to Appear/Failure to Comply on an original charge of OVI.

Nicholas A. Eaton, 24, was taken into custody at the Montgomery County Jail on a warrant for Failure to Appear/Failure to Comply on an original charge of OVI.

Samuel P. King, 27, was taken into custody from Middletown PD on two warrants.

At 6:02 p.m., an officer Daniel F. Albery, 21, on Whipp and Montgomery Square. Upon checking him through the computer it was found that he had an active warrant from Centerville. He was brought to KPD Jail for processing.

Stephanie L. McQuinn, 28, was taken into custody from Middletown PD on a Kettering FTA warrant.

Ronald E. Johns, 38, was arrested for Domestic Violence during a call at 6:31 p.m. in the 5100 block of Scarsdale.

At 8:54 p.m., an officer stopped David White, 49, on Walden Way at Stroop. Upon checking him through the computer it was found that there was an entered warrant from Trotwood. He was arrested and brought to KPD Jail, the warrant was for a bike equipment violation.

Holden G. Haddix, 21, was taken into custody from Miami Twp. PD on a Kettering warrant.

Friday, Feb. 15

At 9:06 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Shroyer at Hollendale for weaving. They found the driver, Robert J. Patterson, 33, to be intoxicated and arrested him for OVI. He was also under an FRA suspension. He refused to take the datamaster test and was charged with the suspension and OVI.

At 11:55 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Bada Bings, on E. Whipp Rd. on report of a subject repeatedly calling 911. The subject first reported a large fire and then a shooting. When officers arrived they located the caller, Scotty G. Kilgore, 34. There was no fire or shooting, but Kilgore was found to be highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself. Kilgore was arrested for Disorderly Conduct/Public Intoxication and transported to KPD Jail for processing without incident.

Saturday, Feb. 16

At 12:51 a.m., an officer was in the area of E. Dorothy Ln. and Shroyer when she heard a vehicle rapidly accelerating. The vehicle was stopped at Shroyer and Hadley. The driver, William C. Lambert, 48, was suspected to have been drinking. Lambert refused field sobriety tests and was arrested for OVI. Once at the jail, Lambert refused the Datamaster. Lambert has six prior OVI convictions but those convictions were outside the time frame to be a felony.

Sedric L. Ward, 23, was taken into custody at the Fairborn jail on a Kettering warrant for auto theft.

At 1:20 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Stroop and Shroyer for an Improper Turn and Weaving. The driver, Andrew J. Gehle, 34, was suspected to have been drinking. After performing field sobriety tests, Gehle was arrested for OVI and transported to KPD Jail for processing. Once at the jail, Gehle tested .066 on the Datamaster.

William E. Bellis III, 27, was taken into custody at the Montgomery County Jail on a warrant for Failure to Appear/Failure to Comply, original charge, OVI.

At 2:31 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Wilmington and Devon for weaving. It was suspected the driver, Tammy L. Adams, 45, had been drinking. After performing field sobriety tests, Adams was arrested for OVI and transported to KPD Jail for processing. Once at the jail, Adams tested .135 on the Datamaster.

At 2:35 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the area of E. Stroop and Santa Rosa for weaving. The officer suspected the driver, Brian O. Breland, 24, had been drinking. Breland was also under an ALS Suspension due to an OVI arrest from January 2008. After performing field sobriety tests, Breland was arrested for OVI and DUS and transported to KPD Jail for processing. Once at the jail, Breland tested .177 on the Datamaster.

John R. Leslie, 27, was taken into custody at the Montgomery County Jail on a warranat for Failure to Appear/Failure to Comply, original charge Driving Under Suspension.

At 4:36 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the 2100 block of Patterson for speed. The driver was found to be driving under an FRA suspension. When the suspension was verified, it was found the driver was actually under two FRA suspensions, Lacharies E. Liggins, 27, was arrested. None of the passengers in the vehicle had a valid license including the vehicle’s owner who was sitting in the passenger seat. One of the passengers was found to have an active warrant out of Dayton on a traffic violation. Antwain D. Barlow, 28, was arrested on the warrant. The owner/passenger of the car was charged with possession of marijuana when a purse containing a small amount of suspected marijuana was found in the trunk when the car was being inventoried. Jamila M. Anderson, 24, was issued a misdemeanor citation for possession of drugs.

At 6:25 p.m., officers met to discuss a theft from Meijer in which Lori Sigmund was a suspect. At the listed time, an officer observed Sigmund driving and stopped her to question her about the theft. Another officer responded to the scene. The first officer received permission from Sigmund to search her car for the items taken from Meijer. The officer found a box containing a Swarovski crystal Panda Bear in her back seat. The price tag on the box listed the value at $450. The officer’s investigation revealed the the item had been stolen from DeClarks within the last day or so. He went to DeClarks and took a theft report. Lori B. Sigmund, 19, was arrested for receiving stolen property on the theft from DeClarks. The officer was inquiring about the items taken from Meijer and told her that Loss Prevention had observed her leaving in her vehicle, she reportedly shook her head and admitted to stealing the items. She was issued a citation for the theft.

Sunday, Feb. 17

At 1:50 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Wilmington and Parklawn for speeding and weaving. The officer made contact with the driver, Lindsey M. Sirpilla, 23, and suspected she had been drinking. After performing field sobriety tests, Sirpilla was arrested for OVI. Sirpilla was transported to KPD Jail for processing where she later tested .183 on the Datamaster.

At 2:30 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the area of W. Dorothy Ln. and Glenmore for weaving. The officer made contact with the driver, Lindsey M. Adkins, 26, and suspected she had been drinking. After performing field sobriety tests, Adkins was arrested for OVI. Adkins was transported to KPD Jail for processing where she later tested a .175 on the Datamaster.

Crews were dispatched to 940 Renwood on a Burglary that had just occurred. The victims leave their garage door up all night. At approximately 7 a.m., the dogs started to bark. The residents got up to check out the reason for the dogs’ disturbance and discovered their car missing. The victim’s purse and billfold, which were lying on the kitchen table, were also taken. Area stores were checked with no suspects located.

At 11:50 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Forrer and Smithville, when he observed vehicle pull into traffic, and fail to signal a lane change. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, Jamey E. Goffee, 34, was found to have active warrants from Kettering Municipal Courts and Miamisburg. Goffee was cited for Driving Under Suspension, and arrested on the warrants. Goffee was transported to the KPD Jail without incident.

Monday, Feb. 18

At 2:47 a.m., officers were on patrol in the area of Far Hills and Dorothy Ln., when a computer check was run on a vehicle registration. The owner, Toya D. Hawkins, 35, had no driving privileges. The driver’s description fit that of the owner, so a traffic stop was initiated, and Hawkins was the driver. She was subsequently arrested for Driving Under Suspension. Hawkins was transported to the KPD Jail without incident.

At 3:21 p.m., officers arrested Alecia M. Frisch, 49, on a Criminal Trespass warrant.

Kenneth E. Mullinex, 26, was taken into custody from Riverside PD on a Kettering PD warrant.

William E. Harrison, 30, was arrested during a traffic stop on a Xenia PD warrant.

At 10:05 p.m., an officer stopped Pete J. Kinney, 33, for driving with expired license plates. Upon checking him through the computer he found that there was an active warrant for his arrest from Huber Heights PD. He was arrested and brought to KPD Jail.

Tuesday, Feb. 19

At 12:30 a.m., Kevin L. Puterbaugh, 47, was arrested for domestic violence during a call to the 3000 block of Brickwall.

Lashone Y. Wallace, 36, was taken into custody from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office on a Kettering Court warrant.

At 1:28 a.m., officers responded to an apartment in the 3000 block of Blackhawk on report of a domestic violence. The officers discovered that Chasity L. Lewis, 20, had assaulted a male who is the biological father of her child. The female was taken into custody and brought to KPD for processing.
