Fresh Fare by Kroger on Stroop open for business The Cincinnati/Dayton Division of The Kroger Co. unveiled its second Fresh Fare by Kroger store on July 30.
The store, located at 530 E. Stroop Road in Kettering, opened at 7 a.m. followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m.
Fresh Fare offers the very best products for shopper's who enjoy enhancing their culinary experience. The store's new and exciting additions bring a whole new dimension to shopping for groceries. Fresh Fare is the place to find an amazing selection of fine foods, gourmet and hard to find items along with the items you use most every day.
A selection of sushi better than what you find anywhere. Fresh Fare offers both raw and non-raw items prepared by specially trained chefs who look forward to introducing you to the exotic tastes available from the sea. The friendly, knowledgeable Sushi Chefs will help you with your Sushi favorites and introduce you to wonderful new tastes as well.
Fresh Fare at Stroop Road will showcase a Murray's Cheese department, an off-shoot of the famous NYC store that Forbes has called "the world's best cheese shop." This Murray's cheese department features a world-class, affordably priced cheese selection, plus complementary items such as crackers, dried fruit and olives.
In addition, the Kroger employees who will be working in the department have studiously trained with Murray's NYC staff, and will be providing Kettering customers with the most informed cheese service possible.

Although Fresh Fare by Kroger is a new kind of grocery store, customers will still find all the weekly specials and everyday savings they expect to find at their neighborhood Kroger.
The grand opening festivities kicked off with a performance by Fairmont High School's Band followed by a check presentation to Fairmont High School from Kroger.
Representatives from the Foodbank of Dayton were present to accept a check in the amount of $35,000.00 which represents the proceeds from Kroger's recent Bringing Hope to the Table promotion.
Bringing Hope to the Table is a joint partnership between Kroger and numerous vendor partners. The campaign included products from Kellogg's, Keebler, Kraft, Nabisco, Coca-Cola, Nestle and others. The promotion also features many of Kroger's corporate brands, including Private Selection items, as part of the fund-raising effort.
"Kroger continues to focus attention on ending hunger in America", said Geoff Covert, President of the Cincinnati/Dayton Marketing Division. "We deeply believe it is our responsibility, not only as a corporation, but as concerned individuals, to ensure that no man, woman, or child goes to bed hungry at night. Bringing Hope to the Table gives our customers, associates, and vendors the chance to help families right in their own neighborhoods."
Giveaways for the first 300 customers, began at 7 a.m. Other giveways are planned Thursday through Sunday. There will also be special events during the Grand Opening weekend to celebrate the opening and introduce the Kettering and Greater Dayton areas to Fresh Fare.
