2/25/2013 9:58:00 PM Local chambers to participate in networking event
XENIA — The Greene County Career Center will host all Greene County Chamber members and their guests at a networking and social event in the center’s cafeteria from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27. Admission to the event is free and it will be catered by students in the award-winning Culinary Arts program. Participating chambers include Beavercreek, Bellbrook-Sugarcreek, Cedarville, Fairborn, Jamestown, Xenia and Yellow Springs. “This will be a great opportunity for all chamber members in Greene County to interact and network,” said Superintendent Dan Schroer. “We have hosted events like this for individual chambers in the past but thought it would be great to get them all together on one night.” Tours of the Career Center will be offered while technical programs will have exhibit booths featuring welding, cosmetology, electricity, health care, veterinary and more. A variety of career programs are offered to both high school students and adults. The school is located at 2960 W. Enon Road, just off State Route 235 between Xenia and Fairborn. Attendees should park in the rear of the main building. For more information, contact the Career Center at 372-6942, extension 111.
