There were complimentary activities for everyone – such as free crafts, hot drinks, a coloring contest, visits with Santa, and the 4th annual gingerbread house contest display. This year’s gingerbread house contest had four categories and many winners: • Child 10 and under: 1st place winner Strauser/Painter; 2nd place winner Raison; and 3rd place winner Luby. • Child 11-17: 1st place winner Smith; and 2nd place winner Raison. • Adult (individuals 18 and older): no entries • Family/Community Group/Business: 1st place winner Bellbrook Cub Scout Pack 3; 2nd place winner Kenney; and 3rd place winner Kerlin. A donation drive and raffle for prizes took place during the program. The donation drive benefited the Family Resource Center and local troops currently overseas. Many canned food, new/gently used winter clothing, travel sized items for the troops were collected for each cause. People who donated items received raffle tickets for prize baskets that were sponsored by local businesses. Several musical groups, such as the Bellbrook High School jazz band, Bellbrook High School clarinet quintet, and the Centerville Community Chorus performed throughout the event. DJ Bill Nance provided music towards the end of the program. There was also a bake sale that benefited the high school group “Partnership for Success” for their annual Christmas Kindness program. The Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Park District would like to thank everyone who made the event a huge success!
