The famous blues singer Silvia Josifoska goes to the Randal in Bratislava for the first time with her group, presenting a new album. He will open his rich musical universe and his inner feelings to you. During the concert on September 7, he will baptize his latest CD Closer, currently published by the famous publishing house Hevhetia.

He will open his rich musical universe and his inner feelings to you! The pillar of the Slovak blues scene, Silvia Josifoska, released an album in August with the characteristic name Closer. With a collection of new songs, she opens up her rich musical world and inner feelings to listeners, and in addition to her favorite genre, the blues, she also gives space to other genres close to her, such as soul, funk, rock, disco or world music.
On Wednesday, September 7, not only blues fans but also supporters of the mentioned genres will have a great time at Randali. Silvia Josifoska’s compositions will be performed by the best Slovak instrumentalists. Besides his usual bandmates, such as Martin Gašpar (bass guitar), Erich Boboš Procházka (harmonica), Pišta Lengyel (guitar), Martin Wittgruber (keyboards) and Ajdži Sabo (drums, percussion), Radovan “Vrabec” will also feature as guests Orth, Katarina Korcek and trumpeter Ondrej Juráši. After the concert, the famous DJ Koki will unbox it.

Inspired by iconic songs
On the new publication of Closers, the three-time winner of the title of best blues singer of the year also presents herself for the first time as a music author. She is signed to In a Subway, I’ll Make You Feel So High and Midnight Fire. The next three songs come from the pen of his colleague and longtime friend Erich Boboš Procházka (Closer, You, Grooved).
The album also includes covers from the band’s original arrangements. The first released single, for which a music video directed by Braň Špaček was shot, is the song Red Blood by the German band Blues Company, originally released in 1993.
For this studio project, Silvia invited the best Slovak musicians. In addition to all the musicians mentioned above, guitarist Martin Zajko also took part. Bassist Martin Gašpar is also the album’s producer, and vocalist Katarina Korcek contributed several lyrics in addition to her vocals.
