Ted Cruz criticized for calling January 6 a ‘terrorist attack’

Ted Cruz is under fire after claiming Jan. 6 was a terrorist attack.

“We are approaching a solemn anniversary this week and it is the anniversary of a violent terrorist attack on the Capitol, where we have seen the men and women of law enforcement show incredible courage, of incredible bravery, risking their lives to defend the men and women who serve in this Capitol,” Cruz said.

“It wasn’t a violent terrorist attack, sorry, so why are you telling us it was, Ted Cruz?” Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson said Wednesday night. “And why are none of your Republican friends – who are supposed to represent us and everyone else arrested during this purge – saying anything?”

Tucker added. “What’s going on here? You make us suspect the Republican Party was worse than we thought!

According to The Washington Examiner, this isn’t the first time Cruz has called the Jan. 6 attack a terrorist incident.

He said so in May, opposing a Jan. 6 committee proposal led by House Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, as well as on his Jan. 25 Verdict podcast with Ted Cruz.

“I’m so sick of Ted Cruz. What are the odds he’s the senator who told President Trump not to talk tomorrow? says Sebastian Gorka DrG.
